
Ikoyi-Dolphin Central Mosque Governing Structure
The governing structure of Ikoyi Central Mosque comprises of three main Organs, namely:
- The Board of Trustees
- The Property Management Board
- The Executive Committee
The Property Management Board Members:
1. Mr. Remi Abdulwaheed Babalola – Currently, the Chairman of Alternative Capital Partners Ltd. He served as the Finance Minister of State for Nigeria between 2007 -2010. Prior to 2007, he was on the Board of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. He had extensive experience in private sector at top management in banking, consulting and strategy. He is currently the chairman of the Mosque’s Property Management Board, and played pivotal role in the construction of the mosque.
2. Mr. Suleiman Yusuf- A well-focused, challenge –driven, creative minded and self-motivated professional with over two and a half decades in the financial services industry. He has cutting –edge banking experience in Financial Control, Treasury Management, Risk Management and Corporate Strategy. A first- class honours B.sc Accounting graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Citibank Nigeria in September 2009 as part of the Executive Management Team to turnaround the fortune of erstwhile Intercontinental Bank Plc (currently Access Bank Plc) He is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is an alumni of both the University of Manchester Business school, United Kingdom; The University of Harvard Business School, Boston Massachusetts, United States of America. He is currently the Secretary of the Ikoyi Dolphin Central Mosque Property Management Board. He contributed immensely towards the construction of the ultra-Modern Mosque, which represents not only an impressive landmark in Ikoyi and its environ, but also an iconic worship Centre for the Muslim Ummah.
3. Alhaja Basirat Mojisola Dange – Currently the Secretary of the Board of Trustee. A retired Immigration Officer. An astute, highly respected, a re-known, articulate community mobilizer and women leader not only in Eti-Osa Local Government, but in Lagos State at large. She is also a foundation member of the Mosque as well as the BoT.
4. Mr. Yinka Abdul Waheed Adeola – Currently the chairman of the Board of Trustees, Fountain University Oshogbo. He is a highly committed and passionate philanthropist geared towards the general development of Islamic institutions and the Muslim Ummah. He was a former Managing Director of Pacific Bank Ltd (now Unity Bank) and until very recently, a director of Sterling Bank Plc. He contributed immensely towards ensuring the successful construction of the Mosque.
5. Alhaji Taoheed Popoola – A retired Civil Servant and a Marine Consultant. He was the immediate past Chairman of the Executive Management Committee, a well-respected and amiable community leader. He is also a foundation member and a member of the board of Trustee.
6. Mr. Wale Moruf Kasali -is an economist, chartered accountant and an astute banker. As a banker, he has been involved in relationship management in the retail and corporate banks. He acquired varied experience in Ecobank Nigeria where he was in retail, corporate bank, regional trade and transaction banks. He has been involved in major corporate finance and project management deals in commerce, manufacturing, cement, aluminium, flour milling, food and beverages. He was involved in the successful construction of the mosque.
7. Alhaji Nasir Oluseyi Dawodu- A Budget Analyst and currently works with Lagos State Government as a senior civil servant in the civil services. A two term Assistant secretary of the executive committee. His late father was a foundation member and also a foundation member of the board of trustee.
The membership of the Board of Trustees
1. Alhaji Saka Dabiri – The current chairman of the Board of Trustee. He is a well-respected Community leader who is a foundation member of the Mosque and Board of Trustee over three decades.

7. Hakeem Muri-Okunola- He is a lawyer, public administrator, technocrat and current Lagos State Head of Service.

9. Mr.Kosoko Adeyemi Hakeem – He is a public speaker, marriage counsellor and was a Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor on Islamic matters between 2007-2015. He is an alumni of Lagos state University where he studied Physics. He works with Lagos state government and presides as the Imam of Alausa and Old secretariat Mosque.
The Executive Council
The Executive Council organ of the governing structure of the Mosque is responsible for the General Administration and efficient running of the affairs of the Ummah. It executes the policies and decisions of the General meetings and Board of Trustees.
